Raspberry Suite Challenge #17

So how has World Card Making Day gone for you? Mine has been FABULOUS!! I made a bunch of cards - as you probably figured out from my 4 posts (I'm saving the rest for another day). Plus I was able to visit a bunch of blogs...I'm hoping to get some more visits in before the day ends :)

I've wanted to join in on Dawn McVey's Raspberry Suite Challenges for awhile now, so I'm glad that I finally did. The color combo is so close to the combo I'm planning on using with my Christmas cards, so I was excited to see what I'd come up with.

Here's what I came up with using a few of my new PTI stamps:

Didn't turn out exactly how I envisioned, but I think it's kinda cool. Now that I'm looking at it some more, I wish I would've distress the edges with distress ink. Ah...hindsight :)

Details:
Stamps - Signature Christmas & Winter Swirls (PTI)
Paper - kraft, Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Aqua Mist
Ink - Real Red, Chocolate Chip, VersaMark
Accessories - Star punch (Fiskars), Corner Rounder, Dimensionals

Fun card! Your colors really pop against the kraft background. Inked edges would be a vintage touch, but I think this version is more Clean and Simple -- and striking!

Adorable paper strips. Way to rock Dawn's color combo.

I'm glad I clicked on your general blog link instead of the 'latest post link' as I usually do, so I was treated to the view of all of your wonderful WCMD creations. I have always enjoyed Halloween since I was little, so I think my favorites have to be the bat and the Fright Night cards, but they are all darling.
