Here's my card:
I love it!!!! I got the idea from a Hallmark flyer that I received in the mail a few months ago where a cake was created out of ribbons and scrap paper. Why not make one out of paint chips!! The paint chip I used had 4 different colors (Island Shores, Perkin's Cove, Strawberry Patch, and Chilled Cantaloupe) and it went perfectly with Groovy Guava paper! I cut it apart, used my corner rounder punch, and added ribbon, ric rac, and some liquid applique (I felt like I was on an episode of Ace of Cakes!!). To top it off, I cut candles out of the paint chip and added some Glossy Accents to the flames.
Here's the inside:
You can see that I carried the polka dot theme (PTI Polka Dot Basics II) into the inside of the card along with a birthday sentiment from a Stampendous set. I can't wait to give this card to someone special :)
Details:
Stamp - Polka Dot Basics II (PTI); Birthday Brackets (Stampendous Perfectly Clear)
Ink - Chocolate Chip
Paper - Chocolate Chip, Groovy Guava, white
Accessories - paint chip, ribbon (KI Memories, Michaels), ric rac, liquid applique, glossy accents
Stay tuned!! My challenge is up next - wahooooooooo!!!
