A Prehistoric MyGrafico Monday

It's Monday and that means a new challenge at MyGrafico Challenge Blog. This week is all about dinosaurs and the design team created some fun cards using this fab set by Meljen's Designs:

Do you want to win this set? It's easy!! Just create a card/project/layout that features DINOSAURS and provide a direct link to a photo of it on the MyGrafico Challenge blog by Sunday, August 16th at 10pm PST. Please include keyword/tag MG13 if you upload your creation to any online gallery :)

I thought this set would make the cutest invitation for a little one's birthday party! So here's what I came up with:

Love the 'have a blast' sentiment paired up with that volcano! I added stitching around the tag/invitation holder using a white Gelly Roll pen and to the ribbon using white out - I really need to get a white Sharpie paint pen :)

Details:
Stamps - Dinosaurs (MyGrafico)
Ink - Copics (R27, R29, R32, BG93, G99, G33, C-1, C-3, C-5, 0)
Paper - kraft, Real Red, Chocolate Chip, white
Accessories - hemp, blue grosgrain ribbon (Offray), dimensionals, corner rounder, hole punch, Burst My Bubble font

Today's a busy day for me. I'm teaching a class to other teachers about video conferencing and web 2.0 tools in the morning, having the third heating/cooling company come to give me an estimate on a new furnace, and then my dad's coming for dinner. It's actually my last full week off before heading back to teacher inservice. I'll really miss my open schedule that allowed me to papercraft and visit blogs whenever I'd like - the good thing with this is that I'll get more efficient rather than stewing over one little thing for hours :)

By the way... we do have one Corduroy (sp? ) book but it is about him going to the doc... not buttons! :) I think i have been inspired by the PTI challenge for this month and yes... I did submit it for the guest stamper. I submitted almost all of my button cards. :) Thanks for your sweet comments! I am so frustrated with my computer right now... I am going to throw it out the window. It is definitely time to try that rebuild!

Cute invite! What a great idea! And I love your cat on your stamp table - pets sure do have a mind of their own, don't they?

Love the pocket card and that "stitching" is just the perfect look. That volcano image is great too.
