1. Cut cardstock or dp 3" x 3 1/2"

2. Along both 3" ends, mark at 1 1/2". Along both 3 1/2" sides, mark 1/2" from top & bottom. If you're using dp, make marks on the back.
3. Line up marks on 3" end & 3 1/2" side and trim. Do this four times to create a hexagon as shown in the second photo.

4. Flip cardstock/dp to other side. Make a light dot with pencil 1" from top in the center (straight down from point).
5. Score from dot toward the other end.
6. Turn paper. Score from corner to dot on both sides (as shown in photos).

7. Punch hole to allow tissue to thread through.
8. Gently fold at scores to form into your tissue box. Thread tissue and add to your card base.
These are really simple to make, and I think they'd make anyone feel a touch better.
On a separate note, my blog buddy Siobhan has challenge all of us paper hoarders (affectionately called paper ho's) to not purchase any new paper until 100 projects have been completed using the paper we already own. It's scary to think how much paper I have (and still continue to buy), so this is definitely a challenge I HAVE to try. I may be cheating a bit, but I going to count all the projects I've completed since I bought my last bits of paper - unfortunately, this wasn't that long ago (July 28th). I'll keep you updated and please hold me to this....especially when new fall & winter matstacks will be coming out soon! Maybe I can make 100 projects by then....

oh wow!
gotta try it
What a cute card!!!! 100 projects....wow....since I probably average 1 project a day....that would be three months....wow. Good luck!
How cute! Thanks for the tut!! Paper ho's...oh my goodness... how funny! I am definitely a paper ho! I bought more today... can't stop myself! Good luck with the challenge! I don't think I could do it! Or... I would stay up all night long just throwing as many projects together as I could until I got all of my 100 made! It is a sickness!!
I hadn't seen that card before... did i just miss it? Very very very cute!! I love it!
Stephanie
THANKS so very much for your tutorial and for emailing me about it! I did attempt to make a few of these cards (posted under klwco on Splitcoaststampers) but wasn't really thrilled with them. Am happy to have step by step directions as that is how I think - so "type A" I am ;)
THANK YOU !!!!!
Wow, that is so cute. It looks so easy. I hope it is. I will have to try this. Thanks for the tutorial.

Thanks for the tutorial! You said it was easy...I will take your word for it! I am measurement challenged! ;) My box will probably look like something the dog coughed up!
What a great tutorial! I'm about yarn the way you are about paper--I hoard.
I so love your cards. I enjoyed looking around!
Have a blessed day!
Thanks for the tutorial. I love the card and I have always wondering how they do that.
Oh Stephanie... thanks so much for doing this tutorial! I think it will be great for this fall when the colds and flu start going around for real! You did an awesome job with the tutorial! I have a couple I need to do... thanks for sharing!
I left you a little something on my blog! Enjoy!!!
I saw this tutorial last August and just now got around to making one. I've had your tutorial printed out and hanging on my bulletin board. I made my card for a SCS challenge and gave you all the credit. Here is my card.
