So, I know I've seen these really cool cards with a layer of coordinating ribbons used in the background, and I've loved them. I wanted to try my own. I gathered some ribbon, stamped my images, and laid everything on my card base. Ugh - wasn't what I was hoping for. So..I went onto the Internet to look for some inspiration before I glued anything down. Ugh...an hour later when I couldn't find anything that I thought I've seen, I glued everything down and decided that I need to move on.
So...here's my card. If anyone knows of these "ribbon-background" cards and where I could find them for some inspiration, please let this inquiring mind know!!
Details:
Stamps - Eek! A Monster! (My Cute Stamps)
Paper - kraft, Basic Black, white
Ink - black, Copics (RV29, RV02,YG03, BG01)
Accessories - ribbon (most from Michaels), pink gemstones (Hero Arts)
Thanks for stopping by!!

Wow.. I really have been out of touch. I had never seen one of these cards before. Love the colours- kind of reminds me of a mexican blanket. What a great way to use up old ribbon. Nice job.
Stephanie I haven't seen them so can't help but I think your ribbon bg is just adorable! It's so colorful and cheery! Not a thing wrong with this!!!
I think your ribbon background is great. I'll be on the look out for other examples, but yours is wonderful. No UGHs from all of us!!
More monsters, how cute! And what a great background to use all those ribbon scraps behind them . . I think there might be a little monster hiding behind the ribbon curtain ready to pop out and scare us! :) And if you ever want me to get you something from Archivers, say the word. I have two Archivers, three Mike's, a Joann's, two HLs and other assorted crafting stores all within 45 minutes of me . . . the danger$ of living in an urban area.
OMW I LOVE this!! I so need to try one! I don't think I have ever seen one before either...just adorable! Great job!!
