Mother's Day Altered Paint Can

To go along with her flower pot card, I created this altered paint can containing mani/pedi tools for my mom. I was planning another color scheme and purchased pink & green shredded paper. After looking at it for awhile, I wanted the paint can to coordinate with the card. I didn't have time to run to the store and pick up red or white (I doubt they'd have peach or minty green) shredded paper, so I had to substitute with tissue paper. My mom didn't mind at all...she loved it! Especially the extra large orange stick that I tucked inside. My mom loved mine when she was over a few months ago.

This was my first altered paint can. I'm happy with it, but that lid was tricky!!!! I wanted to top it with a scallop circle, but my Cricut only cuts up to 5 1/2 inches. This lid needed at least a 6 inch topper. After playing around with different options, I was happy with how it turned out.

Details
Paper - DP, white, Groovy Guava, Real Red
Ink - Groovy Guava
Stamps - inque boutique (polka dots on lid)
Accessories - Cricut (Georges & Basic Shapes; Alphalicious), ribbons, buttons, Fiskars Treading Water border punch

Thanks for stopping by!!
